Students cause stink as school removes dunny paper

Got a phone call from a person yesterday afternoon who was most distressed that Glossop Middle School (8-10) had decided to remove toilet paper from the cubicles.
Students had to approach teachers in order to get toilet paper.
The person who called me also said they had to tell teachers how many sheets they would need.
Sounds like fun!

Why ? Too many paper spit balls ?

It's probably like sandpaper anyway. Tell the kids to take the 3 ply from home....

"Sure. How many squares do you think you will need?"

"Umm,Mum made a stew and I pinched 3 of Dad's Pale Ales last night. Better make it about 20 odd, that ok?"

"I cant spare that many!"

"You dont have a square to spare?" ;)

I spent three years in a school based in a Sri Lankan Tamil Tigers camp.

They had no toilet paper at all, preferring to use the left hand or for some, a combination of forest tree leaves and the bark of logs.

While there were obvious problems if you were a left-handed writer, students were thorough in washing their hand in the nearby Telukah River, which ran directly into the village's main drinking water supply.

Those requesting any form of toilet paper had their tongues removed by the spearhead of a rogue american indian, found wandering in the forest.

It's probably due to a couple of students who decided to wet the toilet paper, then chucking it onto the ceiling so it sticks. Thus ruining it for everyone.

I note SRC representative "glossop student of barmera" cannot use the English language correctly.
The school is a failing school...

How do you come to the decision that the school is a failing school? On one known event?

If so, you are a harsh critic...

The school does enough to provide their students with the education to achieve above state average TER results, year in, year out.

But I do wonder how many kids are shitting their jocks now.

It was based on the fact that the student could not write coherent English.
If that is an example of a school exceeding "average TER results", I take my comment back..
Obviously, the entire system is failing! ;)

As far as my schooling went, that's all text books would've been good for! ;)
