SA Brewing, Lion Nathan the makers of West End products and many other brands have an offer on for a football jumper 150 years with a logo & number on the back. Under the #150 is the wording "it pays to be a local".
That sounds like a good idea but the jumpers are made in China, now that is "local"

Well, considering Lion Nathan is controlled by the Japanese, then yes, it is paying to be a local...

Ah yes, however the cry to keep the $$'s in Australia only refers to West End beers by the look of it!
An SA business has the rights to the promotional side of the brewery, they are also an agent for Australia's largest footy jumper manufacturers so one could be forgiven for thinking they might just use them for the product. However, when you see the quality of the jumper it is definitely Chinese and made to a very low price.

All our manufacturing is moving to China, and soon they'll own all our mineral deposits. Then there'll be no doubt we are a
local province of China.
Rudd will no doubt introduce Mandarin lessons in all schools, soon, as part of the education/cultural revolution...

I scored one from the state team when they were here. Thought it would make a great training top for the gym but they only had XL left so I swim in the damn thing.

The other jumper I got when in Perth for the WA v SA game and I got all the SA players and Darel Hart to autograph it, now just have to get it framed...
