Just curious as to where people favour 'going out' on the weekend. I'm a bit of a fan of Glenelg. Don't like having to pay 'entry' fees in the city.

My nightlife years are well behind me sadly, nowadays a slab in front of the computer playing online Poker with the footy on the box is my big thrill lol ... How times change!!

I usually hit town but it usually depends on where a good live band is playing.
Usually start at the Cas, then go enjoy some live music through till about 1 and then at the Woolshed until some ungodly hour.
Also been known to end nights closer to home at Sharkeys Pool Hall at Reynella.

Only really go to the city these days if it's for an occasion, someone's birthday etc (but even then it tends to be a regular occurence). Love to piss up anywhere in the East End, have a soft spot for the Cranka, but wherever the lads want to go is fine. The missus loves Zhivagos, so have ended up there a number of times. If I find myself on Hindley St. it's straight to Enigma Bar (gotta love the tequila bar).
It's footy season though, most home games we drink until I close the bar and most away games we drink until the pub has had enough of us.

Haven't been out for awhile, preferring a slab on the recliner with the footy, but when I do I don't mind the East End. Also, like checking out the place with live bands. The city's changed a bit in the last 10 years. I find it a bit more un-friendly (to put it nicely) than it used to be!

Last time I drove past they had a massive line-up out the front. Is it worth the wait?

Just bumped into a mate who told me he's had a big night at "Flashdance" the other night ... I didn't know whether he was talking about a musical play or a night club.

Yeah it is usually pretty good on a fri or sat night.
The towers are the way to go, sure beats waiting for a drink for too long. You can sit at your table for an hour without having to go back for another drink. Plenty of eye candy around the place as well

A lineup at the Hilton? **** sake the joint has gone to the Dogs. In the old days the Bouncers were there to keep you in.

All the more reason to **** off down the pub. Forget that trendy poker palace mate. Get some heads to invade the Hilton RSL. Pool tables and cheap piss. Can't go wrong.
