Pet Names ??

Postby A Mum » Tue Aug 04, 2009 8:32 am

Heres something heaps of people can particpate in because we've all got pets,
whether it be dog, cat, bird, gold fish or even a bearded dragon

What pet/s do you have?
What is its/their name/s?
And why did you name them as such?

:D
You get what you give....

I'm very sure there are many people out there way more creative than we were with our pet names, but anyway :D

Our dog - Toy chihuahua - Named Cosi
As stated elsewhere named after Australian Idol Contestant Cosima Devito - Cause they're both 'cute'

Cat - Named Cocoa, because she is a very dark chocolate brown/black.

Cat - Named CJ (Cocoa Junior) because it's the kitten of the one above
(Yes, very original I know!!)

I know someone who called their dog Wanganeen (He is an avid Port supporter)
He said he thought it was a great name, till the dog got out one night and he was calling its name through the streets at 3am...
"Wanganeen" "Wanganeen"
You get what you give....

I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

In a house with 4 women, have a male budgie ... called Lucy. #-o

Got a puppy earlier this year, and since there's no other boys in the house (apparently), named him Charley (spelt differently) after my Dad. So now my only hope of keeping the family name going is hairy mutt. :-s
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

I’m only the administrator of the estate of dedja … my yes be yes, my no be no

Eric the budgy in our house, he's quite a character. He's tame, comes out of his cage at night and chases his ball around, drinks out of your glass etc.

Childhood dogs were Cookie & then Yo Yo (keeping with the biscuit theme! lol).

I'll be the exception then...no pets at all now...but if I can list past pets then...

1st family dog...Bluey...an Irish Terrier. Back in the early 1960's and dad still thought of going back to Oz for good one day so he named her that because of her reddish coat.

2nd family dog...Hoppy...daughter of Bluey (who was killed in an accident) last pup of the litter so we kept her. Got the name cos as a pup she kept getting in everyones way and when people stepped on her paw she didn't limp she hopped.

My dog...Lyle...because the love of my life had the last name Tate so I named the dog after him...Tate and Lyle like the sugar company.

JAS
