Last months' average maximum temperature for Adelaide - 17.4 degrees C was 1.5 below average and the coldest May average since 1979.
The average minimum temperature for Adelaide - 8.8 degrees C was 1.3 below average and the coldest May average since 1898.

I always giggle when people complain about the cold when you compare our climate to a lot of the rest of the world.
I'd be comfortable if the temp dropped by 10 degrees for the whole year, its not that hard to put a jumper on!

It is easier to get warm in winter than it is to get cool in summer.
Hot weather's good points; plunging necklines and short skirts.
Bad points; no footy.
Cold weather's good points; Its footy season.
Winner, cold weather, (narrowly).
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

Spot on, It always amazes me when I get to work on my motorbike, how many people that drove cars to work with the heater on are winging about the cold.

PS: Adelaides not that cold anyway, while most were sooking about the cold in Adealaide last week, I was in the Riverland, Tues, min -1, max 10, Wed min -3.3, max 14 :?

I'm not complaining - I wear a jumper (not just that of course) and that's good enough for me.

I'd prefer the hot weather - there's no way I'd live in Hobart or Canberra - or England for that matter.

I've spent some weeks in Canberra in the past in the middle of winter and love it, its a real crisp fresh cold.
Spent a couple of days in Hobart one February and it was a different sort of cold, everything seems to be wet there all of the time.
A nice 'crisp' cold is quite enjoyable as opposed to a continuous drizzly wet cold.

I love winter, when its hot its not footy season, when its cold it is, enough said.;)

Yeh - It has been wet. My 2nd "summer" in a row over here, last year was amazing, as you would have seen with hardly any rain delays in the Ashes, even though they didnt start until mid July and played through til Mid September (which is when its usually wet again). This year May was horrible, but today is really sunny (must be the brilliance of june)! In saying that its only going to be 20, which is like a 30 degree day in Aust though!!

Bit nippy down this way too in the South east, but dry as well with 0 degree nights, frosts and stuff. A nice 14 degree day today though(just guessing, it felt warmer than it has for a while) Makes lawnmowing a pain because nothings growing.
