Breaking The Seal?

Ok, Im sure most of us are familiar with this ... You have 8 or 9 beers before you need to relieve yourself, yet for every beer or 2 afterward you need to go again.

Im sure there's a perfectly natural reason for this, yet in all my years of drinking I've never been provided with a satisfactory answer/reason as to why?

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Cheers,
CP

Psyber reporting in as requested...
Actually, I'm just back from buying a few Peroni, and one of the new Coopers Pilsener to try.
I'd rarely drink more than two a day though - maybe 4 or 5 over several hours at a barbie.
Interestingly, I dropped in on and old friend this morning - an "Angel" - and he served coffee at 10 am, instead of VB like he used to.
Maturity, and preserving your brain cells, gets us all in the end, if something else doesn't first... ;)

OK CP- here is how I understand it:

ADH (Anti Diuretic hormone) is a naturally occurring hormone in the body which creates a concentrated urine to keep more water for use in the body.

Alcohol is a diuretic- it blocks the release of ADH . So when drinking beers etc you create a more dilute urine (more water and sodium)

The effect takes a while to 'kick in' so initially you can hold more in the bladder. However once you reach a certain alcohol % this increased dilute urine production fills the bladder quicker so we need to go to toilet more often.

More noticable with beers as you drink more 'liquid' which also contributes to the full bladder.
