Sympathy Vote

Postby Jimmy_041 » Sun Nov 01, 2009 9:49 am

Tear jerker in The Advertiser yesterday.

I just couldn't help but compare his situation with Wayne Carey.

Should we feel sorry for them?

Which one deserves our sympathy more?

Have either been undeservedly maligned  ?

I have seen him out occasionally - if that's the way he acts when he lonely and upset, I'm just glad I dont bump into him when he's belligerent

He must have something rather special to pull the chicks like he does, Emma Forster's not a bad looking squeeze and a couple of others weren't real shabby either.

Former Minister for Immigration and Multicultural Affairs, - Philip Ruddock

Feel sympathy for the great man, also applauding him with a stand-up ovation.

Ruddock was pure scum.

I don't think he was that good, Gozu.

No principles at all, except self-preservation. Certainly one of Australia's worst ministers of all time.

Well up goes the ante ...

http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/stor ... 01,00.html

TREASURER Kevin Foley has revealed he is suffering from depression and has been on medication for several years.

In a 42-minute press conference originally called to talk about GST funding, Mr Foley shocked reporters by admitting he had sought help for depression from Beyond Blue.

"I am not bipolar, I am not manic," he said. "It is a treatable, manageable condition."

At times, Mr Foley appeared close to tears as he told of his battles with depression.

The opposition can't touch him now ...

You're not going to get any better, because that's what I think. Ruddock started as a small l liberal and changed all his principles to hold on to his job in the ministry. He then proceeded to become one of the meanest, nastiest and most insensitive ministers this country has ever had. We've had some bad ones, from both sides of politics.

Comparing him to Chris Evans or some fine Liberal people is ridiculous.

In my opinion.

Bit harsh on Foley considering he has been suffering from depression since childhood.

At least Carey could play footy. What good is Foley for?

I call rubbish on the whole depression thing. Has it been diagnosed? Did he even say he was depressed or just infer it?

Didn't seem depressed to me, seemed like a wanker.

3 years ago it was diagnosed. Hope no one you know ever suffers from this illness with that sort of attitude.

Regardless what anyone thinks of the man or his politics it's not something to take lightly.

Pfffft, he seemed to function quite well apart from his attitude and ideas. I still call rubbish on it. You can get doctors to diagnose anything.

He's got a few years of acting like a human being to catch up on before he gets any respect from me.

Well done on being sucked in boys.
