This is the day to show respect for what we have.

My heart is heavy with the sacrifice that has been made.

My eyes have never seen a war in real life.

Thankyou DIGGERS

My Dad was a digger..!

Sad Days.... :(

A day late...or 2 days early but well said Dog_ger.

I now associate this poem writen in 1932 with Remembrance Day ever since it was sent by a soldier to his parents after he was killed in NI. Most write letters to loved ones to be sent in the event of their deaths and he sent this...

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousands winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there. I did not die.

The sacrifice that was made to enable us to do as we do, must never be forgotten. Lest we forget.
