THE announcement that the Reserve Bank had put interest rate rises on hold attracted even more attention during a live Seven News broadcast yesterday when a Macquarie Bank staffer was seen viewing pictures of nude women on his computer.
While broker Martin Lakos was updating Seven newsreader Chris Bath on the rates news, a colleague in the background was seen opening three pictures on his screen.

The bank released a statement last night, saying: "Macquarie has strict policies in place surrounding the use of technology and the issue arising from today's live cross on Seven News is being dealt with internally."

The web link has an embedded video to go with it which shows the particular broadcast that is the subject of this article! ;)

Why was someone filming that off the TV though - at that time?? :?
Why did the 'nude pic' guy look back at the camera?? :-k

Brilliant!

Finally, evidence to support the term 'Wanker Banker'.

Macquarie better not sack him.

Disagree with you there. What if it was an e-mail that he had opened up??

Looking at the screen of his computer I'd say it is an email.

The RBA might have left rates on hold, but I reckon that bloke's interest rate was soaring.... Bet he wouldn't mind making a little deposit in Ms. Kerr... although he'd hope the prospect of a return over 9 months was poor...

After the first attachment what did he expect was coming in the next 2? He also spent a fair bit of time studying each image. Would think he'd be currently getting his resume in order and looking for a new job.

I got an e-mail that was titled "Motorcycle crash", it then said "turn up loud, listen to the impact". When I opened it there was two blokes kissing and it was screaming out "look everybody, I'm looking at gay porn" everytime I tried to close it, it got louder. Pretty embarassing.
I've kept it and send it out to others at work when they'd least expect it, I just change the title, it works a treat. :D
