There has been a lot more than usual for the past 12 - 18 months, due to election? possibly, neglected by all parties in the past and way over due?, definately

South Road's a bit of a mess at the moment. What really s***s me is that both Labor and Liberal are touting a two-way Expressway as one of their big election promises. Nice of them to consider it after a decade or so. Show us some budget allocations and a time plan and I'll accept the fact that one day the State Government might actually begin work on it.

Hasn't Isobel signed a pledge that she will keep all election promises? Better not be making too many promises...

I wouldn't trust either of them Beefy

That McLaren Vale/Victor Harbor turnoff has been a problem for years and hopefully will be fixed.

I go through it a lot and during peak periods, the Police have to man it

Lets hope it gets fixed

I travel the state a fair bit and I've seen more improvements to our roads, both metropolitan and rural, in the past 6 or 7 years than I've seen in any simillar time period before

Do you know if anything's being done about the Dukes Highway? Last time I was down that way was about a year and a half ago and it was a bloody death trap.

Not that I'm aware of ATM, I did hear a rumour that it may get duplicated along it's full length, I can recall living on the Dukes when it had it's last major upgrade (late 70s early 80s) and there was talk of a dual carraigeway road then but the Vics didn't want a bar of it on their side (Western Hwy) so we didn't do it either

Time for the whole thing to be done.

No doubt in my mind that roads like that are a death trap

Anyone ever driven the Hobart - Launceston Road? You could fall asleep and still wake up at the other end.....

Yeah the roadworks in the new Playford alive area on the corner of Curtis Road and Peachey Road have taken almost a year so far and there miles away from being completed.

Adelaide's road system is the worse in the country!

The best example of how bad SA roads are is when you drive across the Nullabor. As soon as you cross into WA, the road is twice as wide. Still think NSW have the worst roads in the country. NT have the best.

A couple more lanes on the Southern Expressway that might have only cost $60M if not for penny pinching, narrow minded govt with no foresight.
