LOL, The Adelaide City Council has outdone itself here.
http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/parking-i ... 5880778209MATTHEW Goodlet's car is missing all four of its wheels courtesy of a late-night thief, but that didn't stop a parking inspector from repeatedly fining him yesterday for failing to move his immobile Renault.
Mr Goodlet, a chef who lives in an inner-city apartment, woke on Sunday to find thieves had stolen the $2000 set of wheels from his car.
He told police of the theft and ordered a new set as soon as businesses re-opened after the long weekend.
Mr Goodlet then placed signs on his car with the words "police aware" so passer by would know the situation.
But yesterday, while waiting for the new set of wheels to arrive, Mr Goodlet came home from work to find a parking inspector had put a fine on the immobile Renault.
And two hours later, an inspector returned to fine Mr Goodlet again.
"I went over to explain myself to him but I was told they'll tow my car tomorrow if it hasn't been moved," he said.

Unfortunately, not surprisinging at all. Hopefully common sense prevails for the poor bloke.
Oxygen thiefs!

Noticed the last line of the article was that the ACC did not respond - or more to the point, were too gutless to respond.

If ACC Parking Inspectors weren't on a quota system I don't think this would have happened.
I got a fine a month ago, 2 mins after my ticket ran out. I was on the other side of the rd waiting at the pedestrian lights

Good decision IMHO, otherwise Id just park in front of my work's building everyday.
I know it's a Renault but would it really rake more than 4 days to get wheels? If that's the case he should have had it removed.
I have no sympathy for people who get parking fines and wish more were dished out than currently are.

Umm Wedgie, it was a long weekend.

He did pay an extra $200 to get them expressed too

Should have got his car taken by truck to a legitimate park then.
Should have got more than 2 tickets too.
