The only time I've ever seen a lightning strike was in Grade 5 at St. Johns on Anzac Highway.
I was in the principals office for throwing an orange into the ceiling fans.

An amazing site I'll never forget.

Oh, the lightning hitting the tree was pretty special too.

Around my area, it's easier to count the trees that are still standing!

Thankfully my Wicked tickets, which arrived in the post during the storm, survived a few hours in the letterbox unscathed.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

More than likely it could end up being a tropical low by the time gets here. Even so, it can still make a bit of a mess if people leave stuff laying around.

Although it's not unheard of for tropical cyclones to wander this far south. The one in 1978 caused a lot of damage in Bunbury and Albany.
