your eating habits go to shit
you work every friday night
limited social life

Pros
plenty time for gym etc in mornings before work
seems to be more hours in a day especially if you go to bed not long after getting home

Personally i would rate arvos the worst of any shift, id rather night shift at least you finish Friday morning and starting Sunday night isnt that bad
I could work at a bigger company for more money but have to do arvo shift half the year or stay where i am and do only day shift. I prefer to stay where i am, moneys not everything

As it is, I have my biggest meal at lunch and a light dinner.
I'll finish at 9pm Friday nights.
I don't really have a social life during the week, it would save me money by not grabbing a 6 pack or a bottle of red though.

Yes, we get up at 5 to go to the gym, would be much nicer at 1pm then lunch and go to work.

As a younger bloke I worked rotating shifts, I saved heaps more money on arvo's but yeah, I missed out on getting out mid-week with mates, we've just down-sized in our rental and will be paying $170 a week less rent, trying to have a big year or two of saving so we can buy when the kids all move out, pointless for the interim.

Going to be a tough decision, could well end up in the same chair, money vs opportunity vs responsibility vs quality of life.

Never.

Miss Boon (soon to get her P's) has been taught to indicate out of the roundabout when going straight, I think it's 100% BS.

If you've got an indicator on at any time through a roundabout my Scooby senses tell me you're turning, not going straight!

Yeah, I know someone that failed their P's recently for not indicating leaving a roundabout despite going straight.

I think it's BS too, I watch the tyres of the oncoming cars to determine where they are heading, living in Mawson Lakes you see all sorts of poor driving going on

I was made to do it when I got my license too.

I think it's because you can't "go straight" at a roundabout. You're technically taking the second exit. So you need to indicated to turn that corner.

Last time I ever did it was in my test.

I could still sort of do that, just without the beers.

It's going to be a very pensive couple of weeks, the wife and I have discussed every possibility and what I will settle on, otherwise I'll just bumble along how I have for the last 10 years.

My son is going to start umpiring with me next year too on a Saturday so I need to keep everyone happy with my time distribution.

I've sat behind coppers through Mawson's (which is roundabout city) and they don't either.

Same here, no one does it once they do their test. I think it's an automatic fail if you don't do it during your driving test?

If the roundabouts got the flat edges, I hit it like a chicane. Don't need to indicate if you don't turn the wheel.

Fun story.

When I used to drive the work truck, I delivered to the Clipsal track while it was being set up, and hit the chicane in the truck on purpose. Didn't realise just how big the chicane was, nearly rolled it, then had to report to the security booth about 100m further down. They thought it was quite funny.

Lawn fertilizer

Gents after some advice on lawn fertilizer, my lawns are starting to look great but still a little patchy in areas, my little experience with fertilizer generally just makes the grass greener rather than make the grass grow over a wider area effectively fixing the patchy areas.

Can anyone suggest a fertilizer to fix the patchy areas I have?

Cheers
