We are mate. She's feeling back to her normal self, I had a clear indication last night.

I suggested we get chicken and chips for tea last night, hot, got out the pool too late to cook tea, stupidest ******* idea she'd ever heard.

It was then I knew she was right to go. :D

Thank you all for your concerns and well wishes, appreciate it lads.

If you put pressure on your GP he should be able to get you in sooner to see the specialist and on top of that if you make yourself available for a short notice procedure you can get in way sooner, they often have people pull out* for various reasons, sometimes on the day, if you can drop everything and go in on the day you can cut months off the waiting list.

This. More than half of people don't even turn up for general appointments at the Lyell Mac. It's amazing what some do when they don't have to "pay".

Yeah not sure we can do much more with the GP, been up to the hospital 3 times too in case it was quinsy again. Ended up seeing an ENT the other day, out of pocket. Just waiting on the quote to come through which is why I posed the question.

Ask your GP for a private ENT that can bulk bill - they're out there. I don't have private and the guy I used to see (who's now passed away I believe) bulk billed his general appointments and the sinus op itself in a private hospital cost me around $3000 but that was about 6 years ago now

Yeah found one willing to operate at the WCH, which Medicare will rebate the procedure, just waiting on the quote :-SS

If my daughter wasn't starting her SACE next year we would just wait but potentially missing weeks of school will be hard on her.

Booked in for Feb :D

Has anyone on here had trouble with Fastway Couriers? Getting them to redeliver an item I bought seemed like more trouble then it should of been.

Most freight companies are similar. The onus is on the receiver to be at the premises or authorise a safe drop beforehand. If not the parcel will be taken to the post office or returned to the depot.
If it is returned to the depot it takes the lowest of lowest priorities and some will charge you or the supplier a re-delivery fee

Yep. Pretty sure their depot is just off of Port Rd at Beverly. You can ring them up & tell them you’re going to pick it up yourself if that suits you.
A shitload quicker than waiting for redelivery.

I understand the onus being on the receiver to be there when it is delivered and reorganizing delivery is fine but when you follow the info card they leave and go on their website to fill in a redelivery form then wait days for your item to come then you make multiple lengthy phone calls to them to find out what the go is and they tell you their website has been having technical difficulties and they have not received you redelivery information it is pretty f**king annoying.

Been going on for years.

Very rarely happens now. They have cracked down hard on it and it’s a written warning for contractors
