Well not traveling as efficiently as you are, but this qtr finishes 27th November.
So far estimated bill $81.
I'll take that.

If people are looking for finance on solar, this is a good place to start: https://brighte.com.au/

And, if you're inclined to dive into accessing wholesale prices for electricity to save money, join the Amber Electric waiting list: https://www.amberelectric.com.au/a/sahp (would be worth accessing the SmartShift offer if you've got pool pumps or home batteries)

I just asked if it was right as I was thinking it was too low based on projections from the installer, they initially said yes it was correct then 4 days later got an email to say they'd not calculated it correctly. Something to do with the solar install date being entered later than the actual date we went on. I think they may have said it went in on October 2 when it went up on Sep 2.

Do you need to clean the panels? Anyone had any experience with this?

I can access mine quite easily, our installer said maybe once a year at the end of summer when you get the dust / rain mix would be worth giving them a clean.

I plan on giving mine a hose down this arvo. You can see build up of crap. I'll just get the ladder and hose it down from there.

My new joint has a solar panel.... at least going by the aerial photograph I have seen. Can't see it from the road, or the rear of the joint. I will break the ladder out on the weekend & have a look see. Cleaning it sounds like a good option.

My supplier (Simply Energy) sends me weekly email reports on uploads and usage and the quarterly bill due to be sent out next week is estimated to be likely to be about $7. It's been a nice sunny quarter...

(I did get an offer of higher input rebates from Lumo, but on their website their rates were not as good as I was quoted by their local rep, and I never got the current schedule they offered to email to me. Also they stress that they are an Australian owned company, but their call centre is in Mumbai whereas I can ring SE here in Oz as I did last year when a bill didn't arrive until after the discount expired - they fixed it immediately for me.)

You know how sometimes people come to do work at your house and you think "WTF have I done here?" and on the very rare occasion you greet someone, chat and think "Good, he's ok", well, this morning, *phew* absolute ripper of a lad knew exactly what he needed to do, knew what he was talking about ( ie the 20 amp cable wouldn't carry the voltage over the distance to the meter box without a voltage drop ) was a stickler for being neat ( ie running conduit from the panels to the meter box ) etc.

Fantastic.

Who did you go through?
Had a quote today from someone the wife knows through work.
6.6kw
17 x 390 JA panels
Sungrow inverter(5kw)
$5997
We need our electricity box upgraded with a few things.
So the price above includes this of about $550

Looking to get a 2nd quote now.

Anyone use Arise solar?
They are almost half the price of the 3 other quotes I have for 6.6kw system.
Panels and inverter the same as well.

$2991 fully installed versus 3 other quotes of $5999, $5800, $5600.

They are too cheap for my liking so wondered if anyone else used them?

Just had a 6.6kw system installed and I’m looking at the data.
What sort of Kw would a 6.6kw generate on a cloudy day like today?
