If you could.....you would what?

The scenario is that, if you could go back in time and attend three events in history, which three would you observe or participate in? One must be local to SA, one must be somewhere in Australia, and the third one must be somewhere internationally. Any event - sport, politics, personal, family, religious, gluttony or whatever! Under the scenario, you cannot or will not die. You cannot influence the outcome to change history - just watch and absorb it all.

For me, my initial thoughts are:

Local:

The Bodyline Test at Adelaide Oval. All five days.

National:
The shootout at Glenrowan between Vic Police and the Kelly Gang.

International:

A seat directly in front of Hitler at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, German Translator alongside me, watching Jesse Owens win all his gold medals whilst Hitler was trying to create the Arian "Master" race.

I'm sure the more I think about this, the more thoughts I will have!

I thought of that too. Interesting 2 part series on Lee Harvey Oswald on TV at present - part 2 scrrening Sat nite at 8.30pm. With this option I don't know where to stand though - on the grassy knoll, in the Texas schoolbook depository, behind the grassy knoll by the railway tracks, on the bridge or opposite the grassy knoll. Tough one that!

Option B for me:

International: Summit of Everest to see who made it first - Sir Edmund Hillary or Tenzing Norgay?

Local: 1970s arts, and in particular film through the SAFC, reneissance in SA. Come to think of it, SA coming of age in the 1970s (before quickly reverting back to 'The Wowser State.')

National: Steps of Parliament House, November 11, 1975.

International: When Moses parted the Red Seas.
(although being in Hitler's bunker in the dying days of the Third Reich would be interesting.)

LOL!

For whatever reasons, a mate of mine is still traumatised after picking up a redhead.
