One of the few sports where you can lose the game but still be bouncing around the house 12 hours later because of 'that moment'.

Aussie soccer fans wont forget Craig Goodwins goal in a very long time.

Same can be said about Tim Cahil's goal against the Netherland and his goal against Japan.

^ Rowey... you just have to wait maybe 90 minutes or longer for it to occur.

Absolutely……that long range pass from centre back Souter…..then that first touch from Leckie, my god!!!, then a pin point cross to the back post, late gut busting run by Goodwin, the ball bobbled just before it got to him, had arguably the worlds best keeper coming across his goal and bang the one place it could never be saved top of the net.

I just watched it to relive the magic and my word.

That lack of pressure, nobody within 10 metres of him. Just brilliant. Brilliant.

That half volley of the round ball to his preferred side. Out of this world.

The running, oh my god the running! He was just running like you wouldn't believe anyone could run!

Then, that finish. The goals are only 24 feet wide and 8 feet high, how he managed to get it past the guy who is 6 feet high is just beyond me. Stunning. No wonder we rejoice in these magical moments.
Tell you what. I reckon the afl medicos could learn a thing or two from their soccer counterparts.

A soccer player can go down like they are shot, yet after only a few seconds attention from the doc they are back up and running like nothing ever happened

None of this soft afl rubbish being out for weeks with injuries. Its quite a remarkable medical recovery

The media's fascination with Christian Wilkins.

Apart from dressing like a woman, does he have any talents?

Sitting in Doc's waiting room yesterday, just me and the receptionist. Im on my phone trying to check emails (and making it obvious I need to do so) and she wont stfu. Next minute she's on the phone to Apple complaining her new iPhone doesn't work "but I'm at work and too busy to get bogged down with any technical details". Promptly hangs up and keeps crapping on about trivial shit ... Read the room sweetheart FFS

Marc Oliver Cox charges continue as details emerge about alleged explicit photos
After meeting a woman online, a former SANFL player allegedly took secret explicit photos of her, sent them to her sister, and choked her until she passed out.

A former SANFL player allegedly used a dating site to court a woman before taking secret photos of her while she performed sex acts on him, a court has heard.

The details of the allegations Marc Oliver Cox, 39, faces were on Wednesday heard in the Adelaide Magistrates court, where a police prosecutor alleged the woman had no idea she was being photographed.

After taking the pictures, the court heard, Cox then allegedly sent them to the woman’s sister.

The prosecutor told Magistrate Jon Wells Cox also allegedly choked the woman to the point she passed out and twice went to her house uninvited and would not leave when asked to.

He said the pictures were allegedly taken by Cox when the woman was vulnerable.

“During the course of the relationship he is alleged to have photographed an indecent act, and there is another photograph where he is having intercourse with the complainant,” he said.

“The (woman) claims she at no stage gave permission for those photographs to be taken.”

Cox handed himself into police in July and spent about four months behind bars on remand before he was granted “unusual” bail to visit his dying dad in hospital.

After having a week under his unusual bail circumstances, Cox was granted home detention bail.

He continues to face charges of indecent filming, distributing an invasive image, two counts of aggravated trespass, aggravated assault, and one count of choking a person in a domestic setting.

The court on Wednesday heard the choking charge would likely be downgraded to assault causing harm.

Cox, of North Haven, played SANFL league and reserves football for West Adelaide, Port Adelaide and Norwood before bumping around amateur leagues, representing Fitzroy, Salisbury North, Gepps Cross, Payneham Norwood Union, Echunga, Freeling, Virginia, North Clare and Jervois football clubs.

According to court documents, Cox is alleged to have committed the offences as far back as December at Paracombe.

And given the lag between December, and Cox’s latest court appearance, his lawyer Kate Budzynski asked Mr Wells for the charges to be dismissed.

“We’re now five months after (he was arrested in July),” she said.

Mr Wells said he was not prepared to dismiss the charges, but told the prosecutor he would likely do so if a charge determination had not been made by the time Cox next faces court.

No pleas have been made to the charges and he will next appear in February.
