Are the neighbours aware a Centrals fan has moved into the area and the effect that will have on property values…. ;)

Maybe I'll convert a few!

Update!
Pulled out* of that deal, decided to build instead, on Gertrude Street Magill, just 400 metres walk to the Tower Hotel,
the good news is they started digging the trenches today, should be complete in about 10 months from now.
YAY!!

My first house was in Gertrude Street
After spending plenty of $$$ doing it up, the church bought it and knocked it down to put in "St Georges Way"
I got more than I wanted for it so it didn't worry me. Careful of the soil around there. Its clay so you get cracking

Fortunately, they didn't have to dig deep to put in the road............................

When I first married in my 20s my wife and I lived near Magill, in Shelley Street Firle, in a house owned by her uncle who was a travelling worker for the Department of Mines. Two years later we bought a place in Vale Park, then later built something larger in Klemzig. We chose those areas because we liked them and they were equidistant (roughly) from both sets of parents - hers in Richmond and mine in West Croydon - and on the other side of town from both...

Since then, I've bought, lived in, then sold at a profit about 7 houses in Adelaide and Melbourne - and I've had two more wives - first lasted 7 years, next died after 24 years, and I married the third in 2019.

Who are you building with mate?

Personally loved the building experience we had. With our next house (hopefully in the next couple years) my wife and I want a bigger house in our neighbourhood and then spend the cash to renovate and extend.
