The problem with this scenario is if this becomes a daily habit you will slow your metabolism considerably, which is obviously not what you want.
Seriously, eat a balanced diet and if you want to lose weight, increase your output so it's higher than your input. Eat smaller meals and in between them eat a handful of almonds or an apple or something to keep your metabolism ticking over.
