Planning on doing the big trek from Munno Para West to the Monarto Zoo in the next few weeks.
Is it worth it?
Do they do meals for lunch there?
Is there anything in particular that we would need to take?
We have never been before and our 2 and a half year old daughter is in love with Elephants, Lions, Giraffes etc etc we took her to the Weribee Open Range Zoo and she loved it.
What are peoples thoughts?

Went there about 5 years ago and LOVED it - always been meaning to get back there.
Your kids will love it

But because haven't been there lately can't answer whether they do meals there or not.

Was there only a few weeks ago. Not bad but nothing overly spectacular either, particularly for the price.
I think to get the most out of it you probably need to get there early and plan to be at each enclosure as they do a feeding/info session.
They do have a cafe there that serves all sorts of stuff.

Watch out for the dirty hippies that hold their psy-trance raves nearby

Make sure you check out the Chimpanzee enclosure.
I worked there for a 3 months and i think it's a great place.
I heard the lions enclosure is the same size as the whole Adelaide Zoo

Knowing how expensive Zoos are for food and drinks, I'd pack your own lunch.

Went back in February and thought it was great. I certainly would pack your own lunch as it is expensive to buy it there.
