When I'm drinking a lot of coffee (ie working at home) I'll use my percolator/dripolator.

At home, I have these two items:

I used to use a grinder before I realised it was a cutter (ie those little $40 things with blades). It's made a massive difference to the taste, since the grinder doesn't burn the coffee like the cutter did.

At home I usually have short blacks.

I try and get coffee from The Coffee Barun

You are right about the blade grinder versus the burr grinder. No comparison really.

yeah I don't think you'll find a trendy Cibo at Hackham West or Munno Para. More just your Gouger Street type of neighbourhoods. I had a Macca's capuccino at Port Augusta today and it was really good. Maybe a Cibo could go up there on Highway One - what with all the rich mine workers brooming through there in the their Subaru Turbos, RX8s and replica V8 super cars/utes it could be a killing!

Very handy if it's 2 doors down from your hotel and the coffee comes with free wi-fi access...when the hotel charges a small fortune for their wi-fi.

Don't get one from HJ's. Had a latte from Pt. Augusta HJ at Easter and it was by far the worst coffee ever had. All I could taste and smell was burnt beans.

I frequent many coffee shops around Adelaide. Summation below (prices are from memory and might be slightly incorrect!)

Funk - X Large $4.90. Weak but ok
Hudsons - X Large $4.70. Usually too weak for me - I have to ask for an extra shot which costs $0.60.
Cibo - Grande $4.70. Good, like it because it is strong but not bitter like some other coffee houses
Simply Divine - Fadi makes a sensational coffee. X Large $4.60. Gold!

Between Grenfell and Pirie Street, in that walk through area between the old Black Stump and the BHP Billiton Building.

1. Get up and leave the table for someone else
2. Buy another coffee cos that went too quick

Not so much restaurant or pub, but what about coffee reviews?

Let's make it clear, a hot chick at an On The Run does not constitute "good coffee".

The Grind coffee shop, Tapleys Hill Road, Hendon makes one of the best take away coffee's in the area IMHO. They also stock Nespresso compatible pods, $11 for 20 pods.
