Throw in an eggs benny with packet ham and you've got the worst breakfast imaginableSheik Yerbouti wrote:Coffee in bowls, dogs around food shitting all over the joint, no thanks

It was a bit daunting for me at first as I'd never drank coffee in my life and my work doesn't have a temperature guage for the milk (so we go by feel) and doesn't have a button for set amounts of espresso shots both of which I was trained with originally. (And my Mum and missus only drink instant)
I've only ever had to make hot chocolates, flat whites, lattes and cappuccinos so far. What are peoples hints/gripes for these and what other coffees should I train up in to make?
Cheers!

Get a temp gauge for the milk.
Milk has to be spot on otherwise cappuccinos and lattes especially taste terrible.

That goes without saying............doesn’t it?
Surely no place allows dogs inside?

Agreed, temp is essential for consistency.
The other thing I would recommend is getting a good conical grinder and grinding fresh
You can experiment with different sizes and tamping pressures too - finely ground and tightly packed means the water will take longer to move through the coffee and it will be stronger and more bitter
Large granules and loosely lacked it will be thin and watery and no cremer

I thought it was implied. By the looks of things, people thought I meant inside.amber_fluid wrote:HH3 wrote:I probably should have mentioned the dogs were at the outside tables.
