flight approaches to Adelaide airport changed?

A completely irrelevant and unnecessary topic but ...

As I live in the Torrens Gorge and have large windows in my family room that face North, I can see planes come in on their approach to Adelaide airport from home.

Also, when I drive into the city along Payneham Road, I regularly see planes preparing to land.

Now it may just be me, but I've noticed lately that planes seem to be lower in their approach to the airport.

I have a totally unjustified and unsubstantiated theory that the airlines have directed their pilots to come in slower as they approach Adelaide airport to save fuel, and as such, their approach is lower.

Am I onto something here or am I just full of shite?

Dunno mate, but when I’m full of shite I can sit on my dunny and wave through my bathroom window to all the flights
coming into Adelaide from the South. I sometimes wonder if we’re hitting the reverse thrusters at the same time.

The pilots must get a pretty good view into our shower too. In fact, I mentioned this to Fort Battle-Axe when we both
happened to be in the bathroom and she said that she’s never noticed a problem. I said, “Of course not, whenever you
take your clothes off they all change course and fly in over ‘dedja’s’ place.”

Does anyone know a gentle proctologist? I’ve gotta get this toilet brush removed.
