My mobile number didn't work but my house number did.

Must remember that when I ring people up threatening to kill 'em

Ditto.

Looks like you have to have your number listed in the directory for it to work.....

Put my number in, had my last name only, no initial.
Also had a location that was about 3kms away.

Put both my and Mrs Ian's mobiles in, nothing, put the home phone in, no personal details, the street address was 2 streets away (we've had the number for over 17 years)

Put my house number in.

It came up with "Madam Slapper's house of massage and bordello".

Reckon I'll be having a quiet word with 'er indoors this evening...

Put my landline in and it was spot-on with my name and suburb - the street name and number was smudged out though.

My mobile number not found by the site.

Seems as though most listed on here are pretty old, my old phone number (Home) from 10 years ago comes up (house isnt even there anymore) also if you have a silent number it will probably not show up

It's hosted overseas, thus making it not illegal.

They're basically getting electronic copies of the whitepages and putting them online. They also get info from third party providers.
