Septic Tanks

Spent half of yesterday looking for the lid (which is 6 inches below the back lawn) only to discover this morning when the guy came to pump out that the previous owner of my house had welded the lid shut.

Now I have to wait for the council inspector to come and decide what to do

Being called Mister. A habit I really dislike.

I know there is a percentage that will say its a respect thing, and I appreciate that in shops etc, but if someone calls me "sir", I usually look around to see who they mean standing behind me. I've just never liked the Mister terminology, but know that is probably a minority.

Mister K was my father. I'm simply CK, or my first name is fine :)

Sure, it's probably a little bit off-putting, but give me that over 90% of the "customer service" we get in shops these days.

I'll only call some "Mr" if I can see they're over 60 or so - because I know they're old school and it's a bit of a "respect your elders" thing as well.

I'll call them Mr until they say it's ok to call them by their first name..

*edit* OR - their last name is easier to pronounce than their first name

You'll have fun if the band that released the song "Broken Wings" in the mid 80's ever call you :)

Bruce Macavaney's commentary of anything.

Such an ass kisser nowadays.....
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.
