Before they get started just ask for a few moments to gather yourself, even ask them to leave the room.

Shut your eyes, slow your breathing down, relax (as much as you can), get comfortable and keep the breathing at a normal rate. Always hard to breathe heavy/fast through your nose, just normalize it as much as you can.
