Hi all,

I would never take anything on here seriously when it comes to abuse or threats. But, some people do. Just a bit of a heads up when you type your next tirade of abuse to a fellow supporter, think about this first!

from the article:

Mr Smith replied that if the reporter made good on "his apparent threat'' to track him down, he would "give him, and his employers, a guided tour of the Queensland anti-stalking legislation''.

and what this clown did - tracking a bloke back to his place of employment and complaining - doesn't count as stalking?!?

The mind, it doth boggle...

Could that mean any old lawyer can go onto a website just to do this thing and potentially grab some cash out of it?

I've often worried about this sort of thing. I've had the odd "discussion" with one or two people on this forum and others, when they resorted to personal abuse, I chose not to reply further. Fortunately the major perpetrator has been banned from this site for threatening and insulting others. I believe in robust discussion.....there is no place for name-calling and threats. I have never bothered to really hide my identity, so if anyone wanted to "get" me physically they wouldn't have too much trouble finding me and obviously tracing people through their ISP isn't too hard. This story is frightening in that a person could be so vindictive over a bit of internet banter

Is that Mercedes dealership for real?

Sacking someone for something so trivial?

Maybe this was their excuse to get rid of Mr. Conole?

Although it hardly sounds work related MP, perhaps it was a breach of IT policy?

It also may be that he was a wanker that they wanted to be rid of (he likes cats ffs!)
