Too right.
I’m going to give myself some leave tomorrow and tram it in to the clock tower hotel At Surfers for a few beers and a punt, I think i might go alright.

That’s a good pub there.
Thoughts are with you, your son & the family, mate.

Cheers mate, op went well.

Last time I was in there there were about 15 Maori’s singing together with a guitar, I went over to the barman and said “hey mate, you reckon you could tell them to quieten down, I’m trying to bet”
He smiled and replied “you can if you like”.

In all honesty, they were a great bunch of blokes and their music and tone was awesome, real atmospheric.

Sorry to hear mate, always tough in the situation you're in, I had to not follow my heart a few ties during my singledom, what's good for a little while sometimes cannot be sustained for reasons beyond your control, still hurts though.

Give us a hoy if you need a vent mate.

Sorry to hear mate.

Let time heal and once your ready begin the process of moving on.

When me and my wife divorced i honestly didn't think life could go on......i was an absolute mess, lost the kids, house, car etc.

Move forward 8-9 years and life couldn't be more amazing and im the happiest i have ever been. I know that doesnt feel like it will be that way for you but ultimately it gives you the ability to 'start fresh', learn from any mistakes (if there were any) and give you an oppurtuntity to solely focus on you which i dont think any of us do enough even if we have partners.

Best of luck mate...im always up for a chat if you need.

travel or fly? Can understand fly (pressure gradient changes)

Travel - ask about infection risks? How can they be managed on a three day drive.

What are the deterioration signs to look out for - plan the route so you are close to key health services.

Can handover be facilitated to GP or outpatient clinics in SA?

Play the patient centred care card- optimal recovery back home amongst friends and family. Can this occur after three weeks if planned properly?
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

They don’t want him flying until his finished a full hour of antibiotics.
They can only administer up to 24 hours of antibiotics in one hit and it’s a 30 hour drive without stops.
They don’t want SA doctors to mess about with what they are doing up here as everyone is in the same page as each other up here.
This hospital is apparently the best in the country at dealing with his condition and they think it’s in his best interest to stay put and let them fix him.

We will be more than likely allowed to move out of the hospital next week and get a nurse to come around daily and for me to do a crash course in treating him in between.
