I don't knock anyone's religion unless they start trying to shove it down my throat. I had to look after Mr Ex-McSpaz's dying grandmother for some weeks, and she used to tell me I'd go to hell because I was a university student. She insisted that I sit next to her and read the book of Proverbs, and meanwhile she'd tell me all about the other wicked people of the world who were going to hell (people who had sex out of wedlock, people who wore revealing clothing, people who drank too much - she was an alco herself in her earlier days but was in full-on denial about it, said it was for medicinal use only - people who didn't respect their elders, and people who had whores for mothers like her youngest granddaughter. She was a lovely lady. :? I accept that she was dying and that most of her bizarre views came partly from old age and pending senility, but jeez.
Hey Goose, ya big stud! Take me to bed or lose me for ever.

The lack of interest by authorities and unions in the WHO now classifying diesel fumes as just as potent as Asbestos in causing cancer bothers me.

I guess Asbestos, which we have taken seriously, and acted on, affected only a small percentage of the workers and voters, and only a few private companies, whereas Diesel fumes are an issue for a great number of workers and for governments who employ a lot of them. So it has been put in the too hard and too costly basket.

What makes me really sad though is coming across this one, which has also been ignored so far.

Do you remember hordes of Xians picketing the cinema formerly in Hindley St ("My Fair Lady", wasn't it?) when showing flicks like Hail Mary and The Last Temptation Of Christ? Anyone trying to see the films were set upon and smote by the wrath of an angry Xian. Pity that none of them had actually seen the film in question, and were behaving only 'coz their shepherds had heard vague reports of certain blasphemies occurring on screen and conveyed their disgust ti the flock.

See, it ain't just the mussies...

True, but what would the Muslims do if a film offensive to them was being screened at My Fair Lady or whatever movie cinema here in Adelaide. In that case said film would've passed approval from various authorizations, I imagine that situation would be more offensive to them than a viral video on the Internet.

Finding out that a really nice guy from work passed away overnight from a heart attack after being at work yesterday and having no warning signs. One of the few people in this place that always said hello to me. :(

Is that right? This was one of my favourite shows as a kid.

That's it, they're all gone now, aren't they?...very ironic that the dad outlived all of the kids :( or is Willis still alive but in Jail?

Hundreds of beautiful kangaroos are hopping around in the late afternoon sun without a care in the world. By tonight they will be dead, shot while staring into a spotlight. This time tomorrow they will be in a packet marked pet food only.
