A major incident has been declared following reports of multiple people killed at Westfield Bondi Junction Shopping Centre this afternoon.
Dozens of emergency service crews are currently on the scene.

A major incident is unfolding at a major Sydney shopping centre, with reports of a stabbing and at least one gun man on the loose.

Not that DV or harassment is acceptable in anyway shape or form but it is sad what Michael Slater's life has become.

As soon as he was fired from his commentary role, I said to a mate "watch his life spiral out of control" and its been that and more ever since.

There is never an excuse for DV but sounds like the pressures of being a professional cricketer took their toll on Slater and led to recreational drug use, that has led to further mental health/behavioral issues.

It made me think that isnt many more black and professions as being an international cricket batter. You have one currency, one KPI to meet and that is runs. You're not even in full control of that KPI, cop a jaffa first up and there you go. Even listening to the Woolies/Coles CEO they had a range of different focuses to measure performance. Even bowlers in cricket might not take a wicket but be economic, not batter its runs or no runs.

Obviously, reality has hit Slater the minute he realised he was going spend some time in the slammer, maybe thought his 'status' made him invincible.

I think ill stick to my day job thanks.

Before commentary after he retired, didn't he have issues with mental health back then? Outburst and drinking dependency?
