F1 Grid girls getting axed.

Of course, they did it under duress and it's 2018 where people can't look at good looking people who are happy to be looked at.

FTW.

I really hope they find them before the parents die. I couldn't imagine not knowing what happened to my children for over 50 years. :(

There's another theory now doing the traps that they're buried on a property at Wallaroo that belonged to the Munro fellow and the youngest daughter tried to tell police on several occasions but was ignored.

I’m surprised they don’t have grid guys these days.

Not that I watch F1 but I certainly won’t watch it now.

I am pretty sure dad has already passed, and mum is riddled with dementia.

If that is correct- then it is another sad addition to this already horrible case.

They’re both still alive, mate.
Grant & Nancy separated some time ago. He drank in the pub I worked at many years ago, I got to know him - a lovely bloke. Your heart sank when he would walk in though, the agony he must live with. Occasionally we’d get a journo in the bar asking after him, we would simply tell them we didn’t know him. He never brought it up & neither did the staff or the small group he drank with.
I’d often see “Nan” Beaumont having a flutter on the pokies.

Happy to stand corrected. Cheers Spargo.

The above from LM is gutwrenching indeed.

I was sort of hoping nothing would come of Friday's search, but I really hope they find something now. Closure for the family is most important.

I don't work there, I was just picking up a trailer load of some river pebbles for home and the bloke who owns it was telling me all about it.

How time races by, how it races by.

Seems like yesterday I was helping an ailing mate arrange a surprise wedding for his lady, today it's 3 years since he passed away.

RIP Doug ol' mate. I'll raise a frosty in memory of you tonight.

The massive accumulating waste problem - failed recycling...
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-02-08/t ... ng/9407650

And then: https://www.theguardian.com/sustainable ... -recycling

This means that while electric vehicle batteries might be taken to recycling facilities, there’s no guarantee the lithium itself will be recovered if it doesn’t pay to do so...

... Second life for batteries
Francisco Carranza, energy services MD at Nissan, says the fundamental problem is that while the cost of fully recycling a battery is falling toward €1 per kilo, the value of the raw materials that can be reclaimed is only a third of that.

Nissan has partnered with power management firm Eaton for its car batteries to be re-used for home energy storage, rather than be recycled, and this economic problem is a big reason why. “Cost of recycling is the barrier,” says Carranza. “It has to be lower than the value of the recovered materials for this to work.”

Yet another high school shooting in the US. Apparently one confirmed dead but they're saying there are 'numerous fatalities'.

Authorities report at least 7 casualties while up to 50 were injured.
