Things that make you sad.

Anything!

Things that make you sad.

While it was bad taste to make the movie denigrating Mohammed, it saddens me that people do not understand the concept of democracy and so blame the US government for not preventing its production and react with violence. That recent violence and this attitude displayed in Sydney is more concerning than the making of the movie.

Especially so because this is now happening in Australia!

Good comment here from Henry Rollins

You have perhaps been watching or reading about the unrest happening in Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen, etc. This is a chain reaction over ‘The Innocence Of Muslims,’ the anti-Islam film that originated in America and has since gone viral as its creator intended. These violent outbreaks have led to deaths and injury and it’s fair to say that there will be more before things settle down, that is, if they do.

Things that make me sad:

- cruelty towards animals and children
- random acts of violence such as has been in the news of late
- people battling disabilities that severely affect their quality of life, and serious illnesses such as cancer
- my favoured sporting teams not succeeding
- when I don't achieve a goal in my life that I had set myself
- watching family members/friends distraught at funerals
- problems caused by all religions throughout the world and the wars and violence that stem from this

All of those...
I've been through the funeral scene a few times lately, and I have two friends dying of the dread CA.
(And had a lucky escape catching a mild one of my own very early.)

Great. An excuse for the minority to indulge in violent protest.

What's worse in a Grand Final, leading all day and losing by a small margin, or being flooged by 100+?

I would imagine a lot/most would be Australian born, so I'm not sure deporting them would be possible.

The duality of humankind. That we are nothing without love, yet seem driven by ignorance, hatred and violence.

And we are blindly importing them and financing them so that they can settle here and put sh!t on us at every opportunity. They should be reined in and have the riot act read to them that we are a free and democratic country and if we want to take the p1ss out of anything including religion then that is our right. Atrocities committed against children is what saddens and horrifies me the most. It keeps me awake at night. When I read the news there seems to be a new story every day about something that has happened to a child. I can't bear it. I'm an agnostic but out of desperation one night I went on Google and tried to find how people who believed in God rationalised such things. I suppose I just wanted to hear someone say that there was an afterlife and these kids were all up there and happy and safe. But instead I learnt pretty much that 'everything happens for a reason', that these children are 'part of the Lord's eternal plan' and that 'it is not our position to doubt His intentions'. Jesus Christ (excuse me). The worst was a Holocaust memoir my sister had left lying around the house and I picked up and read. There was an incident described in that book that I try not to think of, but it's in my head and I can't get away from it. I stopped reading as soon as I'd read that part - I couldn't finish the book. But I can't forget what I read. It's been nearly a year and I still wake up thinking about it. I used to think of myself as a pacifist but I can't apply that to people who would torture and murder children.
Hey Goose, ya big stud! Take me to bed or lose me for ever.

Did you know that when one little panda pulls on another little panda's underwear, that's sexual harassment?

That makes me a sad panda.

I wonder if our Indigenous people said something similar?
