Absolutely.

It's like "***** isn't in today"
"Oh shit, that's strange, I hope she's alright"

Or "Who looks after (insert customer name), I have this order for them"
"Just leave it on *****'s desk, she can tend to it in the morning when she's back"

Dude, surely it's time she gets the "thanks but don't come Monday" chat?!

Unfortunately in today's day and age they just can't, as long as she has doctor certificates and calls in there is nothing they can do.

Personally, I would've employed a PI a long time ago, probably after the 3rd or 4th day this time.

At a guess, she's trying to get the arse!

They can just stop paying her if she has no sick leave left.

Yeah, for sure, I'd doubt that there would be any hours left in that kitty.

We get paid monthly too so it's going to be a fair kick in the guts close to Christmas.

As I noted previously, the employer can ask for a certificate to confirm you are fit to return to work.

It's one thing getting a GP to sign you off for a day or two as unfit for work, get them to write one out to say you are fit to return. Different things.

And, in this instance, there's no doubt they can give her the arse and deal with the consequences, she'd not have a leg to stand on.

my girls going away to london for two weeks on wednesday...

Could chuck this into the "shit" thread...
I wanna stress i have zero issue them going, it's london... I would never stop them from going. But how my ex and her family have handled this makes me incredibly pissed off!!!!!!!!! So now instead of spending the next two with them, now they are going away even though when she booked the trip she didn't even consider the kids!!!! Now she thinks my daughter won't handle being away from their mum...
My opinion as their father literally means F*** all...

I am so angry right now!!!! Somehow i have been portrayed as the bad guy, even though i am the one has put my girls first and dealt with every anxious issue she has...

Just go on your f***** holiday... and don't even get me started on her family!! c****... i am essentially co parenting with 5 other people!!!

damned if i do and damned if i don't

They need to see her in person for starters, that is the first step.

I feel your pain brother, been there (still going through it), understand how frustrating it is, keep fighting the good fight - try (as hard as it is) to not buy into the bullshit from the ex and family and keep doing what you're doing, your girls will (hopefully) eventually see it all for what it is and the effort, energy and love you put into them, and ultimately that's the only thing that matters.

Get the venting out on here - if nothing else it'll make you feel better getting off your chest.

Let it go mate, the girls will have a once in a lifetime experience, you'll have some leisure time and life goes on.

Life is too short to be pissed off with the ex, and her family for that matter, who cares what they think of you, you'll never rank higher than their daughter in their eyes so don't even bother.

Just do what you have been doing, who cares about the accolades or what others think, worry about yourself and the girls.

I went through something very similar not so long ago and it was easier to just switch off at times and if they went away I'd use the time to catch up with friends or do things I generally was unable to do.

Surely she's got a new job. Or she's dying.
