More and more I'm moving towards Hahn Superdry, which is readily available on the odd occasion I want a beer.
A friend who has just moved here from the US with his Aussie wife is also becoming fond of it.
(He thinks any Aussie beer is an improvement on what he could get in the US.)

if you are comparing superdry to bud then he may have a point, but the US also makes the best beers in the world

If you like carbonated water or girls drinks maybe.

You obviously have zero idea what you are talking about.

"The best" or "some of the best"? If you're saying the best I can't agree with you. However, some very good beers come out of the US, but drink for drink I think the US creates more shit beer than any other region. I think Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Japan and some of the US beers are the best in the world.

Perhaps those who scour the market for alternatives would appreciate US beers more, if you just go for their mainstream stuff it is decidedly shit house compared to other country's staples.

certainly agree with this statement.

I was more alluding to the fact that because there is 300M people in the US, their craft beer market is a lot more established than in Australia, which allows them to produce many more different and interesting beers

If you are talking about mass produced beers that are found everywhere, germany or belgium win hands down imo.

I tried Stone and Wood Pacific Ale at a pub recently where it was on tap.
A bit different on first taste but it grows on you.

The Pacific Ale is the pick of the Stone & Wood beers, the Garden Ale is nice and so too is the Jasper Ale, however the Jasper has a little too much spice in it for mine.

There is a reason why it has been voted at number 1 beer in the country the last couple years for a reason. Awesome stuff

I had Amarula in South Africa while camping out with the Rangers in Kruger, but frankly I preferred Verhoek beer, and only drank the Amarula to be polite to the hosts who proudly offered it..
