Sprinkling of rain here on the West Coast at the minute. Hopefully it intensifies by the time it gets to Adelaide...

So much dry land out there, it wouldn't take much to go up and get out of control.

Exactly

We live right next to a empty paddock as well

Have the hoses hooked up and ready to go just in case some dickhead tries something overnight

go give it a squirt now mate be a lot harder for them to start one on a damp ground. Fire can travel that quick even being prepared can't stop it sometimes. A workmate parents have a block up in the Barossa, about 2 weeks ago they had fires which was 8km away it was on their property within 20 minutes.

They certainly do

It's a great place and a billion times better value than the zoo

As members of the gorge wildlife park I really hope it survives, plus a work colleague is there next door neighbour

They managed to get 40 dogs out, all other animals didn't make it. Owners have lost business and home.

I have friends on Fidlers Hill Rd (just south of those Kennels). They stayed and manged to save their house as the fire passed through.

Don't know if this is true or possible

But a guy at work today was saying that the sheer amount of water they are having to use because of the size of the fire will most likely mean we will have to go back to having water restrictions

Not that it bothers me but is that even possible, or would that be another one of the fairies get thrown around when something like this happens

Considering the main reservoirs affected would be Kangaroo Creek and Millbrook, and they are at 68% and 94% respectively, and across the State's we're at 71%, it's the latter.
