Were you out in the boonies of the Northern Territory? I've seen mid strength beer for $95 per carton at Curtin Springs Station on the highway to Ayres Rock/Uluru. Strange as a truck goes past twice a week with supplies

At U Brew It on Saturday a fellow brewologist was bottling his "Old St Nick Xmas pudding ale". It was, for all intents and purposes, Xmas pudding beer. But, at 10.5% it would be a very, very merry Xmas indeed!

Not just in this day and not just to get by.
I know a bird who 20 years ago worked for an accounting firm full time during the day & was a topless barmaid 3 nights a week. She made a shitload more those nights getting paid cash plus tips. Owned her own house & car outright by age 26.

Cold beer, beer specials are always a pleasant surprise, TAB so i can lose money on the nags, sports on TV, a handful of other people just for a little bit of atmosphere but not too many as i cant have a convo with a mate next to me.

Enough TV screens so I can flick my head between the cricket, soccer and races. TAB is a must. HSD on tap and a good sized parmy with the chips on the side (never understand why pubs cant just buy bigger plates to accomplish this).

Races 6,7,8 in Melb and Syd. Races 6,7 in Adelaide, Brisbane. 3 pts 1st, 2 for 2nd, 1 for 3rd. just pick one in each race. Max 30 points.
