We had been using the Buck, but the food and service is going down wile the prices are going up.

Attendance has increased lately as a few of us have been scouting for another venue in the same general area.

How about the Sussex, or even cross the Park Terrace Rubicon and head to the Kentish Arms? Food at the Sussex was good last time I ate their, not sure how the Kentish is traveling at the moment, food was reasonable but it was a while since I last ate there and I think it keeps changing hands.

Does that still happen at any pubs? Cross Keys maybe?

Land of Promise do something like that, although not strictly topless waitresses, I think? Popped through there on a pub drawl through the inner west in June and I'm sure in the other bar had some form of 'revue' that required some entry fee.

Cross Keys, Land of Promise, the Cavan used to but not sure if they still do. Quality wasn't there though.

I stopped in the Cavan one afternoon after work and a dude was walking around with a jug, he came and asked me to chuck some money in and the chick would take her bottoms off for half an hour, I replied "I'll chuck $5 in if she leaves them on".

I wasn't the most liked bloke in there for the remainder of my beer.

Goodie hotel does $6 pints of WED or $6.50 for other beer.
Paying close to $10 for a beer is just bullsh*t!

Fox Hat's Red Pelt

They'd released it for retail that day and I really wanted it in my fridge.

The Colac was excellent on a Friday arvo, then a quick drive over to the British once they'd finish. It was a nice drive to Largs Bay to end the week.

Poor old Colac, sitting there full of dust and rats. It's a real shame that pub is laying dormant, the only drive thru in the Port ( Alberton up Port Road or Exeter on Semaphore Road ) and so, so many rooms that could be used as affordable accommodation up stairs.

Hopefully the people who have poured the money into the Port Admiral make a fist* of that venture and tackle the rebuild of the Colac next.

Unfortunately that end of the Port is just a thoroughfare these days.
I did a pub crawl through the remaining pubs that are open for a bucks show recently on a Saturday arvo and the pubs were dead.

Yep that's the years.
I'm the same age as you if your age is correct in your profile.

Pubs aren't what they use to be that's for sure.

There you go then, I'd say we probably have met then, I didn't know anyone when I first started dropping in then got to know a few blokes as I don't mind a chat.

Used to go to the Leg trap on a Saturday night as well if I didn't go to town.
