Bali next Friday*.

Mrs Boon currently trying to fight off an infected wisdom tooth, if the antibiotics don't work by Sunday then they'll be taken out next Wednesday and it's unlikely we'll be going.

Dropped my Sister and Twin Nephews at the airport this morning (about 5am  ) for their Bali trip. Sister asked me to bring her case of headphones she'd left at our place for her to take. Waited til she was nearly in the door before I said "I'm pretty sure I didnt put a bud in there" .. Oh how we laughed (I noted she did open the bag and have a thorough check though  )

Was about to leave the office yesterday when a fire alarm went off, I had already ticked out at reception so I bailed.

I've been told I will face disciplinary action for it today, we're running bets who it will be by

How can you be disciplined for something that happened when you'd left work?

That was my argument, the pa system tells you to wait for instructions, I was rounding my stuff up after someone had already ticked me out for the day, I would've been wrong in any case, if I was still on site after being ticked out our roll call would've been wrong at the evacuation point.

The meeting lasted around two minutes and I spoke for about 105 seconds of those two minutes, no further action is required apparently.

Hate to think how much trouble me and some mates could have got into when pissing off to the pub during our fire drills when I worked in the government!

nor should there be any action.

we dont even do roll call for evacuations in my building. thats what wardens are for, checking that their area is clear and reporting that to the fire control room. we would be there for a week trying to do roll call for a building of around 900 people though...

We have that many audits, tool box talks etc. to get extra accreditations it isn't funny, we even have to do quarterly inductions that take up to an hour, everything here is by the book and fine tuned, it's extreme but it is how it is.

We don't have one person doing the roll call, it's broken up to departments, once everyone is accounted for and it's safe to return to our work stations we wander back in.

Exactly.
I’m available at the last minute for a trip to Bali.
Might need to upgrade to a bigger bed though.
