If you're Ricky Ponting and I'm a 9 year old lad at a net session waiting to get an autograph on my cap then ruffle my hair and say "There ya go champ" by all means.

I just got "matey", "buddy" and "champ" all in one conversation. Must be the day for it.

The coverage of the NSW election tomorrow night.Being a political nuffie I reckon this will be an interesting one. Last year took the kids round to my mum's to watch the state coverage, the eldest will be watching with me tomorrow.

This time tomorrow. Will be logging off in the office, packing up the laptop, and ducking into the city to attend a trade exhibition. A few "convivials" at the official opening, then on a weeks leave. Drive over to SA Wednesday, a hit of golf with a Forum "luminary" on Thursday and then get set for my lads wedding on the weekend. Hoping for decent weather, and hope to not forget to lodge the footy tips.
