Last day of work before heading off to NZ for a short jaunt. Providing work doesn’t get in the way I’m aiming to be in the Qantas lounge with first beer in hand by 3pm today

I think this will be my last Bali trip, we're going for a mates 50th that was in August and his Mrs' 50th that is in January. There's 12 of us together for 4 days, then 6 of us split off, 4 of us remain for a few days, then 10 back together etc across 10 nights.

This is exactly what we are doing for our 50th's next year, looking to go in December and taking the kids with a few families.

If anyone knows of any private villa's that could handle 6-7 families (mainly teenagers) let me know.

Over here now

I got return flights for $260 so that’s why I came back.

I’ve done all of Asia but this was a trip for my brother and I to get away from work and kids.

We stay in villas when we come over. The one we are in now is $100/night, 3 bed, 3 bath, pool and maid. Can’t go wrong.

My wedding in early November.

Being married or not is not a big deal to a 76 year old atheist like me, but my 70 year old bride to be is a Catholic and we have been able to wangle the Catholic Church into doing the job. They gave a dispensation for me having "never been baptised" and for her prior marriage to a Japanese in a Buddhist ceremony before she became a Catholic...

86 guests at te reception. Pity her parents are not available to pay for it! ;)

A Prenup is being arranged to preserve each of our prior assetts, particularly hers becaiuse her two chidren were worried in the early days of our relationship....

The guests are an interesting mix. I had no children so just a few friends and a few close cousins at my end.
The rest are her connections; a few politicians, various local and interstate TV industry people, and theatre people - actors and directors.

PS: I recently had a go at appearing on stage as a drunken, pushy, millionaire interested in investing in a winery, in an internal play rehearsal for a new play being considered for production. (She cheekily said I was "type cast". I had to spank her for that!)
