There are a lot of people doing it tough in Melbourne right now with the lockdowns. Disappointingly numbers testing positive such as today make for not only grim reading, but the light at the end of this covid tunnel seem a bloody long way away. Personally I’ve gone from angry, to depressed, to trying to push it to the back of my mind. In reality nothing really works. What’s also upsetting is the comments from some who think this whole thing is just a hoax, and some who actually take delight in the situation in Melbourne. Regardless of your position on pandemic vs plandemic (and in some ways that’s become irrelevant) this situation is clearly affecting people’s lives and mental health.

While I honestly think I could not and would not self harm.... there are times I think FFS I just want the pain, so to speak to be over. I want the old normal back. Right now, the old normal is gone. The unknown of the future is unsettling.

I urge everyone, including the select few on here, to pull your heads in and display some humility.

Rant over.

I'm having no real problem with the restrictions:

- Attending medical registration required "professional development" meetings by Zoom.
- Re-reading some books I read years ago from a new perspective.
- Fixing things that need repair I'd always meant to do "sometime".
- Bought a keyboard/synthesiser to brush up my rather basic skills left over from when the last one died a couple of years ago.
- Typing up some articles and poems I wrote on scraps of paper many years ago, and never got around to doing anything with - motivated by a mate here in Adelaide who has redrafted a book he roughed out years ago and has now had published.
- Catching up with old friends in Victoria by email - one has left his house in Malvern to live on his farm near Yellingbo, and another has done the same but further out of town.
EPIGENETICS - Lamarck was right!

We all stopped work at 10am for a group chat where they supplied some bottled water, a huge box of assorted fruit and some cheesecake.

I now have, a huge fruit bowl on my desk and a drawer full of bottled water.
