CH7 doing some scare mongering as well.
Yep, gets back to the old argument of did they die because of COVID or die with COVID
Every hospital tests for COVID as procedure before any surgery so if you enter hospital with a broken arm but otherwise feel fine and you then test positive for COVID you will go on the stats as a COVID hospitalisation

I think the Libs will let him soak up another month or so of bad news and then bang replace him right before the election is called. Even though I think he's done well up until the Nov 23 debacle Marshall is toast, IMO.

It never changed. There was a federal definition and then SA health came out straight away and added the requirement.

Miss Nicola came out and said that SA never agreed to the federal definition.

They are conditioning you now for it. "10 children in hospital" The 2yr old death gets a run in every story they print even though the child died "with" covid, it was was born with respiratory issues and many other issues.
Bare in mind they want to start injecting kids now so the propaganda machine ramps up on kids, "deaths", hospital admissions, and lets take a wild guess that these admissions will develop into ICU patients thus giving them a reason to send us into lockdown.

Remember back when it all started, it was just 70+yr olds getting it, better get the vax into them
Then it was the 50+started contracting covid just before they rolled out the vax to them
Then it was 20+ yr olds started testing positive, better get the vax
Then the 16+, the 12+ and now the 5-11, it wont be long and theyll be giving it at birth.
Remember how rare it was at the start for any kids to test positive but now theyre all getting it and going to hospital, surely some people are questioning it. Read them like a book'
Ive been heartened by comments on SA Health, Steven Marshalls and various MSM facebook pages recently. There is alot more people that arent believing there propoganda machine anymore. Considering many people like me are banned from commenting on their pages the numbers are even bigger than they appear.
There will be riots here in Adelaide if they send us into lockdown.
Have heard no more on a world wide lockdown

a riot in conservative old adelaide? i dont think so!

Yeah it's hurting businesses all over the place now. Not sure how many of them get out of this or close up for good.

I think the SA Government has found a way to get it's economy back to being a basket case. Sort of a weird way to combat inflation.

Yep, went to Seaford Schnithouse just before Xmas on a Thursday night.
We were only 2 there for about 45 mins.

Then 2 lads walked in and then a family of 6.

Businesses couldn't possibly cover wages and overheads at the moment.

The definition for people who are Casual Contacts of a positive COVID-19 case or who have been at a casual contact exposure site has been removed from the Direction.
The definition for people who are Close Contacts of a positive COVID-19 case has been changed to include:
• a person who is a household member or an intimate partner of a COVID-19 case during their infectious period;
• a person who has had close personal interaction with a COVID-19 case during their infectious period; or
• a person who has been notified by SA Heath that they are a close contact with a COVID-19 case; or
• a person who has been at an exposure site during the exposure period for that site.
It has introduced a definition for Close Personal Interactions between a person and a positive COVID-19 case, it means an interaction:
• for 15 minutes or more; and
• where masks are not worn by the person and the COVID-19 case; and
• in close physical proximity; and
• occurring in an indoor setting
Therefore, two people must be within 1.5 metres for 15 minutes or more, not wearing masks and indoors to be deemed a close personal interaction.
It introduces a definition for a Household Member of a COVID-19 case means:
• any member of the house of a COVID-19 case, being a person regularly living in the house (or houses if they live in more than one) of the COVID-19 case.
It has been determined that a person has been notified that they are a close contact or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 if they have received advice by one or more of the following methods:
• receiving notice in writing (including by SMS) by SA Health; or
• receiving notice in writing (including by SMS) by SA Pathology; or
• receiving notice in writing (including by SMS) by a private pathology laboratory; or
• the relevant exposure site being published on the SA Health website; or
• receiving telephone contact by SA Health; or
• becoming aware that they are a close contact of a COVID-19 case.
All Close Contacts (whether vaccinated and unvaccinated)(including household member) need to:
• immediately quarantine for 7 days (unless you are a household member, refer below) since they had contact with a COVID-19 positive person or were at the exposure location
• get an initial PCR test
• get a PCR test again on day 6 if initial test negative (a negative day 6 PCR test is required to be released from quarantine)
• get a PCR test again immediately if symptoms develop (be mindful of symptoms for up to 14 days)
• not attend high risk settings (unless for work or duties or COVID Management Plan events for 14 days after exposure
• wear a surgical mask when around others
• avoid contact with vulnerable people, avoid non-essential activities where possible and avoid shared spaces and maintain physical distancing on days 8 to 14 after exposure.
PCR testing remains the same for Close Contacts being:
• immediately upon notification of being a close contact; and
• on the 6th day after the exposure.
• Immediately upon developing symptoms
If you are a household member of COVID-19 case and you cannot segregate from them you must quarantine for 14 days from the date they had their test taken. A household member who cannot segregate is not required to undertake COVID-19 testing unless they develop symptoms, at which time they must obtain a COVID-19 PCR test.
If you are a household member where the COVID-19 positive person is able to remain isolated and segregated or the entire time, you must quarantine for 7 days from the date they had their test.
The date from which you calculate the commencement of the isolation or quarantine period is the date for which the positive test was obtained.
If you test positive to COVID-19, you need to:
• quarantine immediately as directed for 10 days
Other existing requirements remain.
All existing directions, frequently asked questions and other information can be found here: https://www.covid-19.sa.gov.au/emergency-declarations

So new rules posted above mean that I can come out on day 10 and the family can get out on day 14 with no more tests? That's great news.
I rang Sa Health this morning as the family's first test came back negative (dont know how), they told me as we hadn't been isolating from each other, their day 1 starts on my day 10.
I rang them back half hour later and a different person told me their day 1 starts with their first test and that they need to test on day 6 and 13, effectively giving them 7 days longer than me (not 14 days like the first lady said) which we were happy with.
Now they only have 4 extra days and no more tests!!!
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Basically nothing has changed even with the federal direction and definition.

In fact SA health have even more ways to class you ad a close contact now.

They have also kept the 7 day quarantine period as well as the 8-14 day requirements which make it hard for you to go places. It's all designed so SA health still get 14 day period that they want.

You are still getting PCR tests where the rest of the country us moving to RAT tests.

So really nothing has changed here.
