Junior has gone almost 3 years dodging it, but he's now got a dose of the spicy cough after going to a gig on Tuesday night in town.

So whats the thoughts on the booster vax? I would have thought if they were needed we would be onto our 6th or 7th by now? Seems to have gone very quiet.

Ive had the first 2 but nothing since, mainly cause of laziness.

So long as the new mutations of the virus stay milder in form than the earlier ones it will be like the Influenza vaccines - an annual booster. However, occasionally with any virus there is a mutation that is more toxic and that then requires a booster specific for that version.

I've had four vaccinations for CV - basically playing safe because of my age which tends to cause increased vulnerability. I've had CV once, very mildly, between shots two and three. I'd line up promptly for a booster should a more toxic variant arise.

Several people I know have contracted Covid in May that I know
My health practitioners have told me to mask up for the winter
Vaccinations have taken the sting out of it for most people , but there are still strains out there

Take care everyone

My daughter who is now 8 months caught Covid! My wife got the message to confirm it last Wednesday. It's just like she's had a bad cold/flu really- snotty/blocked nose, fever/temperature, not wanting to have food at all (puree) and can't drink her bottles properly due to all the extra saliva and snot she's producing although we've been able to get them into her. She was pretty bad last Thursday but overall she's been OK the last week and has still been sleeping at night which is the main thing, even napping more than useful (she isn't much of a day sleeper, gone from half hour/hour naps to two hour naps).

She seems to be getting better now which is a relief, it ment no Baby Sensory for her and the wife Friday and swimming yesterday morning (I do that with her and love it so it was a bummer to miss yesterday)

My wife and I did a RAT test Saturday, she was positive (only slight symptoms and has had 3 jabs) and I was negative (with no symptoms so far and I've had 4 jabs).

Had my 6th Covid jab yesterday and am getting the flu booster next week. We are shortly going on a Pacific islands cruise and ending up in Hawaii and figured we'd better play safe being in an enclosed environment for a few weeks. Overall, I've had 3 episodes of being positive for CV between boosters, but it was mild each time - just a runny nose for a few days and a very mild elevation of temperature.

No adverse reaction to the shots.

Good laugh reading some of this again.

I especially like the fact that the types that were blindly accepting the lockdowns and calling anyone who dared to question the need or effectiveness imbeciles, just happen to be the same people who are now complaining about the cost of living pressures.

Correct.

But thankfully some of us were saying it at the time, therefore, it wasn't hindsight, but rather obvious to those of us who were willing to stop and think for more than 2 seconds.
