Just your school?

Being at home, I am sort of out of the loop. I only saw the circular that is being sent to parents.
I am quite confident we wouldn't move alone though - expect the whole Catholic Ed sector to be doing the same.

We'll find out how much is involved in online teaching Wednesday I guess. Look forward to seeing if you still have time for 10000 posts a day.

True, I had better get back to it lol
Still have a heck of a lot of drafts to do and this is not getting it done. I was up until 4am this morning doing some!! Btw, just quietly, what would you be doing if you were absent from work due to illness, as I am today??? Would you be putting in seven hours of marking, like I still am, and deliver your online work??
Being part-time, I only had one lesson today, which I did actually deliver, just letting you know ;)

Working from home now, I just picked the kids up then and nothing was mentioned about their school yet.
Mind you it was like a ghost town anyway.

Certainly hope this doesn't enable parents to leave the kids with grandparents.

I do hope no parent would be foolish enough to do that!!! We are offering our school being open to anyone who cannnot have their son or daughter cared for at home. So, in short, there is absolutely no reason for grandparents to be involved. Only foolish actions of parents can cause that.

Cheers

Might happen though and thats been the concern all along.

If anyone was to leave their kids with the grandparents, they deserve a
kick in the arse.

Serious question.
How about if those kids moved in with their grandparents indefinitely, particularly if both parents worked full time? How about kids of younger kids or even pre-schoolers who couldn't stay at home?

Schools are still open, send them to school and not Nan’s house.

Oh they're out there.
My ex who worked in childcare told me they found a bag of ice stuck inside a babies nappy when it got changed.
Some parents shouldn't be!

Sorry, just a two minute break to reply to this comment:

For starters, I am officially on sick leave, awaiting Covid-19 test results.
Secondly, I prepared and taught an online Accounting lesson this morning.
Thirdly, I would normally only be at school from 9:55am until 12:05pm today - my part-time day (only 0.73FTE)
Fourthly, I was working until 4:00am last night
Fifthly, I have drafted 11 assignments already today
Sixthly, apart from my online lesson, this is my only contact with the outside world - fourth day of self-isolation!

How about kids before school age?
Is it best if they move in with grandparents or rely on 2 or 3 different babysitters?

Let that sink in for a minute before you respond with another unnecessary post ;)

WA is the most remote capital city in the world, they'll be getting hit hard by supply chain and freight delays, booze will be just one of the items they'll have to wait for.
