Be interesting to see, appears most in SA are still at work in offices etc, North East Rd this morning was its usual bumper to bumper slow moving traffic, most cars with 3 or 4 people in them, working from my home office and seems alot of people out and about today walking around as well

Feck all. We have no clients coming into the office and it is all phone reporting now. Have a couple of reports on the go but apart from that, it is very quiet. Might get on the Courts SA website drekkly and have a squiz at the sentencing remarks. That's always interesting reading if you haven't done it before. Might even come across some people you know.

1 barely.

Have full time hours until next week, then drop down to 0.6 and then if this last into May which it will, i got nothing. Pretty much being used to tidy up the March end of months financials and then see you later.

Probably the kicker for me is i spent the summer managing 3 facilities (all have outdoor pools) so averaged roughly 90-100 hour fortnights. Being on an award free contract meant i didn't get any over time, didn't get to use my time in leiu and according to Fairwork probably dont have a leg to stand on to try and recoup some of that back.

You can guarantee right now and when we return to work i will be doing my 38 hours per week to the exact minute regardless of whether the job has been 'done' or not.

I always work from my home office and usually dont have any motivational problems as i know i have to get the jobs done as more will be flowing in daily.

However since this virus all started motivation has dropped to next to nothing, i think more so because although i have plenty to do currently i see no need to rush to get things done. If i can get half the work done weekly i normally do i will be happy with that as it will keep the pay coming in for a couple more months yet. I do however see very tough times ahead, had no new work now for 2 weeks

The last week of this term, the 4 days leading up to Good Friday and the start of holidays, will be pupil free days however schools will be open for people who are unable to host children at home or in care.

Closer to a lock down every day.

If kids are not at school they need more parents at home, lock down is imminent. Schools stay open for essential workers children, the rest are at home > lock down.

Also the above link has an interesting graph titled "Confirmed cases, cumulative count (log scale)" and you can see an inflexion point around March 5th where Federal govt action (similar to what NZ has done) would have (if taken) had a significant impact on transmission.

Personally i think from the beginning the government have been holding the lockdown card until right on or right around the school holiday period.

Have a SIL who is a NSW teacher and the talk is that ACT schools are preparing to potentially close until term 4

Apparently there is about 3000 Australians on cruise ships around the world at the moment. Most cruises are about 10-14 days, so unless they're on a 1 to 2 month round the world cruise, why would they have gotten on one 10-14 days ago.

If any people you know work in an industry in which they stock food and drink. Ask them to keep in mind that if they have stock they cannot sell now before the used by dates whether they would be willing to donate to an organisation like foodbank, or any that could help people who have recently lost jobs.

Appreciate some may not be able to do that due to insurance reasons but just a thought. I know foodbank is very skint at the moment.

The whole used by date is a ridiculous reason they can’t pass it on

Agree with that because there are places you can. Unfortunately the real reason is that they dont want to spend a red cent of their billion dollar profits on a process/service to do that.

In my case the centre i manage will be donating to foodbank as unfortunately we have lots of kiosk stock that will not get sold in time such as bottled waters, orange juices, chips etc.
