That's great news for SA......and so long as it continues, I think SA should and will be a test case for the rest of the country, lift restrictions in SA, keep the borders closed for now..... and see what happens. If there is no community transmission then, SA has beaten it.

Plenty of dickheads here in Vic (no surprise I know) breaking the rules, and the boys in blue are handing oit plenty of fines. I knob has racked up 5 fines for breaking the rules in 3 or 4 days.... what a brain surgeon he must be!

We have a long way to go....... but hopefully the rest of the country can catch up to SA, and slowly begin to relax restrictions.

Brings me to what happens when we as a country beat this thing, in terms of opening up our international borders.

Surely we only open up initially to other countries who have beaten it, and the absolute last country we open up to, and allow back in is China. Don't care if they've beaten it, lock the pr!cks out.

If China wants to keep wet markets, knock yourselves out, eat all the bats you want.... but be effed if you are coming down here with it.

Spot on. As a kid, I'd scoff the sweet 'frog' top bit and reluctantly endure the sponge crap at the bottom. And then the cream filling in frog top made me feel sick.

The problem is wildlife trade and sale of live wildlife for slaughter, which is currently banned in the reopened Chinese wet markets.

They need to be willing to regulate to a higher standard whatever those markets want to be called.

Only a small number of their wet markets have live exotic animal trading and many Chinese people actually are in favour of those ones being banned.

Then the government need to get it done then.

If this is going to be the consequences of outbreaks such as SARS and Covid-19 then China needs to come to the party and world standards or we have to place stricter guidelines around their tourists visiting the country.

We are not ‘living life’ at the moment, we need to protect that.

Interestingly and scarily the Men’s Refferal Service which is a hotline for men to self report if they have committed family violence have reported an increase of 94% since the isolation started.

No to Violence the peak body in NSW has reported a 24% increase in cases during the isolation period.
