He quarantined as all arrivals did at that point.

Still something that irks me, it was non essential travel during a pandemic.

We closed the gate at 9pm on 20th March.

Either he arrived before that time or if he is immigrating he has a residency visa and could come in anyway.

That's another thing that pisses me off, so many people knew we were shutting up shop and tried to beat the system, yeah, you may have got here in time but I still found a lot of it was selfish.

Fair enough for those made the effort to get back here as soon as it started surfacing, not hang on until the last minute.

I read that he was tested when he arrived in Australia and tested negative.

International travel, I think the ScoMo announcement was on the Wednesday and he shut the borders on the Friday, throw in 20 hours to get here and he got on the plane pretty quickly!

So he comes to Oz infected with the virus he caught overseas on 20 March and he's tested on 5 May and he's still positive nearly 7 weeks later??

Surely in quarantine they are tested on arrival and before leaving?
He arrived on the 20th so would’ve left quarantine on the 4th of May yet the next day he takes a test????

You're missing April.
Oh, he arrived on March 20th, my mistake

Seems so, whilst he'll be treated as infectious ( and quarantined ) the Prof doesn't seem to think he's contagious. ( They seem to think that's only for 8 or so days after showing symptoms ).

Like I said above, they're learning more about it every day.

Did I hear ScoMo correctly - stage 3 of roadmap will include lifting border closures but still imposing pub restrictions?!

I would lift the border restrictions until it is almost gone.

i think he will outline things to do but it is up to each State or Territory Premier to make the timelines for their state

Expand stage 1 first.

Open up regional travel. More shops open ( major centres ). Restaurants and cafe's. House inspections and auctions.

Two weeks they'll reassess.
