Won’t happen, would kill all small businesses. Paying rent won’t stop.

20 million people in the country and 600 have it, mass hysteria IMO

No, 600 people are known to have it. This is just the beginning.

I'd rather kill a few small business than thousands of people.

Why aren't people understanding we're just trying to stop it getting out of control?

There are litrerally two types of people at the moment..

1. Those who realise it's about not letting it get out of control, and the possible implications if it does.
2. Those who are heroes that compare it to the flu and think everyone has gone bananas.

Sadly it's the number 2's who will be the cause of it getting out of control if it does.

I've been saying to people let's look back in 12 months and laugh about how silly we were over reacting like that instead of looking back and thinking we could have saved all those peoples lives. Pretty easy decision to make.

Precisely.. in the scheme of things, how difficult is it to take precaution, how much impact does it really have on our lives if we need to have a break from sport and socialising for a few months.

Pretty small price to pay I would've thought, and for a pretty small period of time - as opposed to the alternative.

No doubt I’m number 2, speaking to two ED doctors yesterday they cannot believe the hype

Every medical expert seems to be advocating a mass lockdown whilst we have seen alot of other countries go down that path.

ScoMo is getting advice from medical experts. He doesn't make these decisions on his own.
Better to play it safe now, than pay for it dearly later. People just need to be conscious of their personal hygiene and not lose their minds (whoops...too late.)

No, it's not and if yours potentially is then I wish you well, but not considering the impact on the wider community is why idiots are panic shopping and stockpiling, we're being selfish and thinking only of ourselves. Not the time.

LOL, exactly what we were discussing last night. She said "When this is all over how long we going away for?" I said "Not sure, where are you going to go?"

I don’t think so, I’m ok but plenty not.

They close everything for 2-4 weeks then I suspect thousands of small businesses will go under. The past 12 months have in most industries the worst they have been and then this. People who work in small businesses don’t get paid if they don’t work, there is no holiday/sick pay.

The mass hysteria just has to stop. Be hygienic and all will be ok. Sick, stay at home as it should always be

I would have agreed with you when I went to bed last night but he seems pretty set he won’t do that along with not closing schools

The problem is the missus has all week and our home office is setup with 2 desks side by side.
She’s going to know I spend all day on here now.
