Well technically that’s the wrong term as the border won’t be closed. People can still come and go but face 14 days self isolation

so does this mean that when my brother comes home from his 2 week work stint (he's FIFO) from Moomba, that he has to self-isolate, meaning I have to as well?

Isn’t Moomba in SA?

Last time I looked Moomba was in SA so no self isolation ;)

We are free to move within the state

Internal policy, pretty sure all field based staff are going to be required to self isolate on return from their swings.. also have to sign declarations on return

My friends had to postpone their wedding last night, they were due to get married on the 4th of April in Mt Gambier.

Needless to say they're both distraught

Why’d they have to postpone?
More than 100 guests?
Interstate people not being able to attend?
1.5m rule?
All too hard?

Why? Because it's the right thing to do.

(I meant to hit quote, not like)

It’s the right thing to do but it would be a hard call to make.
Friends of ours are going to a wedding in 3 weeks and they haven’t as yet called it off.
It’s a smaller wedding but it’s still all go apparently

These friends also happen to live in Casterton so even if they could've had the wedding, it would've got squashed today with the border announcement

Perhaps move it to the border is only 40km away, have the Vics one side and SA the other, put up a big marque across the State line :D

Oldest son was supposed to be going on an Outdoor Ed camp to the Arapiles in Victoria tomorrow..

That's been postponed/cancelled...

We had church via Facebook live today... not often you can sit in church in your jocks eating bacon and eggs...

Could get used to that...

:)

I get those who have lost jobs should get support but long term dole reciepitants don’t need it, we should be staying home so they have no need for it

Is it because these people are more likely to spend the money they are given rather than save it?

Releasing the finer details later but at this stage it looks like all pubs, clubs, cafes, shops such as hairdressers, salons, clothing stores etc plus I’d presume many office jobs

Just hope they dont shut down the wine industry in the middle of vintage, its coming to a close but probably need another 2 to 3 weeks to finish it off. what about isolating at work for 14 days?

How they going to spend it when we are all in lockdown and encouraged not to leave our houses.
