Gyms as well

My job tomorrow sadly is to stand down with out pay around 20 staff a combination of permenant and casual staff.

Not sure even I’m secure in my job, will need to take all my long service leave that was planned for the holiday

Life pretty much sucks at the moment

Yeah certainly am in the wine industry. The grapes need to be processed now otherwise there will be nothing to lead the recovery in 6 -12 months time. SA is very relient on the wine industry and whole regions not just towns are very dependent on it.
Maybe its a case of having a lock in at work to keep the place going, may as well be stuck at work as stuck at home, no difference really.

Also from what Ive heard this vintage is only going to be average at best, is that correct?

The quantity is way down, alot of the Barossa would be down 70-80% on normal. The ripening isnt real even so could possibly lead to poor quality, there will still be some ripper wines though.

Sorry to hear.
The government released some good incentives today and hopefully more will be released Tuesday which can offer financial support to more people like yourself

Thats why theyve increased the dole

Minimum month isn’t it?

I think we need to go full on measures

Full lockdown for everyone expect for emergency services and health

Do this for 2 weeks, after 2 weeks can’t leave your house until you get a cleared test

I think major action for a short time is way better than pissy action for a long time..ie what we are currently doing

Yep anyone who believed the two week lockdown was worst case scenario was dreaming

That was just a line to stop panic buyers going even further.

No other country has only locked down for two weeks and then seen a difference

Scotty from Marketing who was off to the footy last week, tonight blames Australian's for the lockdown decision, where gyms close, but hairdressers don't and apparently kids don't spread the virus. Ugh, he is so out of his depth and this a total clusterphuck.

Absolutely Australians are to blame, look at the pictures of Bondi beach on Saturday.
Ive seen some good stoushes on facebook where people went ahead with 18ths and 21sts on the weekend in packed venues. Comments like im still going to live my life.... well maybe you wont have to worry about that either soon.

I imagine they want to avoid kids mixing with grand parents in the younger age bracket which is what would happen if Mum and Dad can still work. Also i imagine its easier to keep control of young teenagers in a school environment rather than them thumbing there nose at authority if left to their own devices at home. I dont know their thinking on that just a thought. Singapore got control of it and their kids went to school but with temperature testing at the front gate

Yep is it ironic the one place where you go to get healthier both mentally and physically including build a stronger immune system closes but at least my hair will be on point for my insta photos.

When is Mars open, send me on the next rocket.

Probably because a week ago the PM was telling everyone to go to the footy, go to a restaurant, go eat a Chinese meal

This is how a leader responds:

We have Phase 1. Phase 2 TBD
